Every once a month it is a must to cleanse your system and free it from all the bad stuff you’ve been feeding it with Or if you’ve been sick and are looking to flush out all the toxins from your body , read up!
PURPOSE OF A DETOX
Detox not only cleanses your system from within but also clears up your skin, reduces inflammation, helps in jump starting your weight loss, boosts energy and overall mental alertness! Yes, it does!
Ways to detox
For those of you who are new to the concept of detoxing which shouldn’t be the case, but if it is then the most popular and effective method to detox is to drink 12-15 Glasses of water or a ‘Teatox’ which is detox with the help of tea that has fat burning ingredients to help cleanse your system.
Apart from the traditional methods, I have a few not-so-popular-but-definitely- effective detox solutions!
Coconut Oil!
You either eat it right outta the spoon which might not be everyone’s thing to do or you can mix a tbsp in your Tea/Coffee.
Epsom Salt
Now this one is definitely a dangerous one because it is super effective and works instantly as it creates a laxative effect [Make sure you do not have any appointments for the day of your detox/ Do it on a weekend].
It tastes HORRIBLE, if you are brave enough you can mix 1 tbsp of Epsom salt in 1 glass of water and chug it or if you are like me you can add vitamin C powder to the concoction and drink away.
Once done you will most likely visit the loo pretty often which might cause weakness and dehydration so make sure you have a bottle of water always around. Also make sure you resume eating only after a few hours of doing the detox.
Spices
Cinnamon is definitely an amazing spice that you can add in almost all your foods along with Black pepper, Turmeric, Cumin, Ginger, Cardamom, Horseradish, Saffron and so many more. Though this is a slow process it is pretty effective and does the job.
A lot of people do detox in order to lose weight or jumpstart their healthy routine.But this alone does not guarantee the changes you require in order to lose weight. It is best to minimize intake of oil, carbs, sugar to ensure best results.
